ANAMAR Environmental Consulting, Inc., an SBA-WOSB, provides nationally recognized services in environmental planning, permitting, oceanographic surveying, dredged material evaluation, and ecological monitoring. We support clients, including USACE, NOAA, and Port Authorities, in achieving their environmental compliance and navigation missions.

ANAMAR seeks a motivated, detail-oriented business development & office leadership associate to join our Florida office full-time. This role is designed as a growth pathway into the Vice President of Business Development position within seven years. The successful candidate will receive direct mentorship, hands-on training, and increasing responsibility in business development, proposal management, office leadership, and staff engagement.

This in-office-based position is a central role responsible for keeping ANAMAR’s business operations running smoothly. This position supports executive leadership, project managers, technical staff, and subcontractors by managing administrative workflows, coordinating documentation, and maintaining organized systems. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated early-career professional who wants to learn the business side of environmental consulting, federal contracting, and project management while working directly with senior leaders.


Role and Responsibilities

Business Development & Proposals

  • Assist in the development, writing, and editing of proposals, submittals, and reports.
  • Coordinate proposal schedules and final production for submission.
  • Learn client development strategies and relationship-building directly from the VP of Business Development to better collaborate with teams and continue decade-long relationships.

Office Leadership & Support

  • Manage daily operations in the Florida office, maintaining a professional and collaborative environment.
  • Coordinate logistics for conferences and project needs, including travel, registration, materials, and scheduling.
  • Nurture staff engagement, morale, and teamwork by being the point person for office concerns, needs, and events.
  • Ensure office upkeep, organization, and readiness for visitors and clients.

Growth & Mentorship

  • Train directly under the VP to develop skills in leadership, project development, and client engagement
  • Take on progressively greater responsibilities to prepare for advancement

  • Must be able to travel solo to conferences, including the ability to attend multiple events in the same week on opposite coasts when required.
  • Able to set up and manage an ANAMAR exhibit table, including transporting and arranging display materials, engaging with attendees, and representing the company professionally.
  • Required vision abilities include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and interact professionally with co-workers, clients, prospective clients, and sub-contractors.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Psychology, Communications, or related field.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
  • Interest in leadership development and long-term career growth.

Preferred Skills

  • Prior experience in proposal writing, office administration, or event coordination.
  • Experience in client-facing or team leadership roles.
  • Interest in environmental consulting, science communication, or related industries.Candidates will have a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree. in a relevant scientific discipline such as environmental sciences, English, psychology, or business.
  • CDL certification and/or experience driving large vehicles in confined areas
