The Rookery Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve (NERR) Management Plan is a strategic document that describes natural and cultural resources within the 110,000-acre reserve and identifies priority goals, objectives, and strategies that staff must address to adequately protect and manage these resources. The Reserve is located in southwest Florida and is co-managed by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). The final management plan was approved by Florida Dept of Environmental Protection Acquisition and Restoration Council (ARC) in October 2022.

Praise from Rookery Bay Project Manager for ANAMAR lead technical writer Jason Seitz:

“Jason Seitz is a pleasure to work with. He displays thorough attention to detail and a robust knowledge of coastal ecology while assisting us with updating the Rookery Bay NERR management plan. Jason has been adaptable when we hit challenges in writing the update and is always willing to go the extra mile to help make sure we meet all state and federal guidelines. His methodical approach to documenting and addressing reviewer/public comments helped keep us organized and on track. We are exceptionally satisfied with the work he has done for us and would not have been able to complete this work so quickly without his assistance.”
