Rookery Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve Management Plan: Compilation, Review and Revision Services

The Rookery Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve Management Plan is a strategic document that describes natural and cultural resources within the 110,000-acre reserve and identifies priority goals, objectives, and strategies that staff must address to adequately protect and manage these resources.  The Reserve is in southwest Florida and is co-managed by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).  ANAMAR was contracted by FDEP to provide technical writing and editorial services for the revised management plan that covers the period 2019 through 2023.

The revised draft management plan is scheduled for review by the advisory committee and will be discussed during a meeting with this committee in May or June 2020.  Once all comments are obtained from FDEP and NOAA, they will be addressed by ANAMAR with the help of Rookery Bay staff.  This new plan will then be formatted by FDEP and should be available online to the general public in late 2020 or early 2021.
